Megan’s background is working with youth and adolescence both as a school social worker and community based mental health clinician. Megan LaChance completed her Master of Social Work from Simmons University in Boston in 2019 and is an LCSW, working on LAC (addiction counseling) licensure. Megan’s work has focused on addiction, self-harm, domestic violence, sexual assault and various other forms of trauma.
Megan is trained in EMDR (Eye movement and desensitization reprocessing), Trauma-focused CBT, DBT, (dialectical behavioral therapy) SFT (solution focused therapy), person-centered, mindfulness and strengths-based therapies and is currently working on her synergetic play therapy certification.
Megan’s therapeutic approaches are trauma-informed, strengths-based and person-centered.
Megan moved to Leadville in 2020 and enjoys rafting, skiing and camping with her family.
