An Age Old Practice
Infant Massage is an age-old practice of positive touch interaction between caregivers and children. It is a massage modality that uses strokes like, rolling, pressing, kneading, and rubbing to encourage blood circulation, pain relief, and relaxation of muscles. It also fosters bonding and attachment between caregivers and children.
Infant Massage Clientele:
- Parents and Guardians (biological and adoptive)
- Foster and Kinship
- Caregivers of young children
Types of Infant Massage Offered:
- Infant Massage Workshops: Approximately 45-90 minutes, 4-week series. In this 4-week series, you will be taught a massage sequence that uses a combination of techniques from Swedish massage, East Indian, Reflexology and some light stretching/yoga to help bring relaxation to your infant/child’s full body.
- Private sessions: Approximately 75 minutes, 2-3 sessions, this option helps provide infant massage instruction in your own environment and at a time and day that is convenient for you. We understand that everyone has different schedules and want to provide an option that can be catered to what works best for your family and situation.
